Luepke Senior Center

Luepke Senior Center, located in Central Park, adjacent to the Marshall Community Center, is owned and operated by the City of Vancouver. The Luepke Senior Center is a full-service senior center that has over 100,000 participant users of its enrichment activities each year.

The Senior Enrichment program provides a wide variety of activities that promote active living, physically and cognitively, including social clubs, workshops, classes, sports, dances, parties and hikes. This program is open to people ages 50 and older.
Statewide Health Insurance Benefits Advisors (SHIBA) HelpLine

SHIBA HelpLine is a network of trained volunteers who educate, assist, and advocate for consumers about their rights and options regarding health insurance, so they can make informed choices.
Volunteer Connections partners with other volunteer centers in the Vancouver/Portland metro area and United Way of the Columbia-Willamette on the Volunteer Innovation Project, providing professional development training to volunteer resource managers and assisting volunteers in finding rewarding, appropriate service in community programs. United Way of the Columbia-Willamette (www.unitedway-pdx.org) has supported our work for over twenty years.

If you are 60 or older (spouses may be any age), SNAP activities and lunches are for you. If you live in Clark County there is a SNAP site near you.
City of Vancouver Senior Trips Program

The Senior Trip Program provides group travel opportunities for people 50 and older.
AARP

The AARP Foundation provides direct services to senior citizens, particularly in the areas of consumer advocacy, legal assistance, tax counseling, job training and placement, healthcare, and long term care information. A national program, AARP Foundation Litigation is supported by the AARP as well as by many private foundations and government agencies. AARP Foundation works in communities using volunteers as well as professional staffed offices. It is a 501© (3), nonpartisan, tax-exempt organization that does not conduct lobbying or political activities.
Corporation for National and Community Services (CNCS)

The Corporation's mission is to provide opportunities for Americans of all ages and backgrounds to engage in service that addresses the nation's educational, public safety, environmental, and other human needs to achieve direct and demonstrated results, and to encourage all Americans to engage in such service. In doing so, the Corporation will foster civic responsibility, strengthen the ties that bind us together as people, and provide educational opportunity for those who make a substantial commitment to service. The CNCS is the federal agency responsible for the oversight of national service programs including RSVP.

The Senior Messenger is the 3rd largest newspaper in Clark County. It is mailed free to anyone 50 or older who requests it. Read about active adults, travel, health, education, leisure, legislative information, and other matters of interest to Southwest Washington's senior residents. Revenue is from reader donations and paid advertising. The RSVP Newsletter, The Volunteer Voice, is located in the Senior Messenger.
