Employment Transportation

Do you have trouble getting to work or work-related activities?
If you do, Employment Transportation may be able to help.

Eligibility

If you are a low-income resident of Clark County, you may be able to receive help with Employment Transportation. You will need to obtain a referral from one of our partner agencies before you can receive transport. Referrals are accepted from Worksource, Arc of Clark County, DSHS, Clearview Employment Services, Partners in Careers, and other participating agencies. After we receive your referral and your eligibility is confirmed, we will talk to you about your specific needs and schedule the least costly, most appropriate method of transport at no cost to you.

Covered Employment Services

We provide transportation to employment sites, job training, job search, job interviews, childcare, and other work-related activities.

Most Appropriate, Least Costly

When you request a ride, we determine the type of transport most suited to your abilities, locate the lowest-cost option given your needs, and arrange for service with one of our providers. We encourage group transports and shared rides. The most common types of transportation available include:
  • Public bus tickets and passes
  • Passenger car/taxi
  • Wheelchair van/cabulance

    Scheduling a Ride

To allow us time to schedule your ride, call our office at least two (2) working days before you need a ride. We can take requests up to 30 days in advance. We are available by phone Monday - Friday from 8 am - 4:30 pm. However, transportation services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Information to Have Ready When You Call

  • Your name, complete mailing and street addresses, & phone number.
  • The name, complete address and phone # of your destination(s).
  • Exact dates(s) and time(s) you need transport.

When to Be Ready For a Ride

For shared rides, you may be asked to be ready earlier than you expect. Note that unexpected delays may occur due to traffic congestion or weather conditions.
